Tour du Mont Blanc

Trail Maps were great and that you could download them into an app that you were familiar which was also good. We could safely go at our own pace knowing everyone had good support. We travelled as a family of 8 adults and the huts made sure we were looked after together.

Every detail was covered. We particularly loved the map. Thank you too for helping us map out the remainder of our trip after we spun off from the group. Highly recommend Bookatrekking!

The experience of TDMB is unbelievable. The magestic views, the physical challenge and the people you meet are incredible. Bookatrekking made it very easy for us given I found it difficult to book consecutive nights myself. Book early as that makes a difference. Be clear on where you want to walk and any variants you might want to do. The food supplied was amazing. Packed lunches were great. Note Refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme needed 3 days notice for a packed lunch but this is not pointed out anywhere. The rest day in Cormayeur was excellent, as was the accommodation booked for us. The app was great but could have additional information on each days walk. The descriptions were a bit 'light' but the Knife Edge book helped. Overall a fabulous experience.

It was such a wonderful feeling when the 10 days trekking ends. It was well organized and maps were very helpful except one portion had a missing route. All the mountain huts were different and had a great experience of the hut stay. The most special things were meeting other hikers on trails and hut. We met many hikers from all over the world sharing the time together. I would like to do the similar trekking again next year. I hiked with my 29 years old son ( I turned 60 during this TMB hiking) and he really enjoyed this. It was a such a special memories with him.

The Tour du Mont Blanc was a fantastic adventure that I can only recommend to everyone. Amazing scenery, epic hikes, great experience meeting likeminded people. Thanks for planning and organizing our trip, and for all the information provided. Everything worked great and we never had an issue along the way. I'd have only one recommendation for improvement: please improve the app. It is very basic, and though you can follow the route with it, there is not much else you can do.

What an amazing experience! Thank you so much to Bookatrekking for organising everything for us. The app was a fabulous support and was invaluable at times. The refuges were ok, some better than others and we met some great people along the way.

I booked, via Bookatrekking, an arrangement whereby they booked my refuges (huts). They also provided my with a guided app. among itinary -the routes to walk and the places to sleep-. What also was very nice that sometimes -from la Peule to La Fouly- they a much nicer route than the regulier route :-) Also their service is great when you have questions. There are some minor points for Improvement. I recommend Bookatrekking for sure (I give them a 9 out of 10).

Scenery was incredible. Host at hut was lovely. People we met were awesome. Plenty of water, food and toilets along the way.

The food was super good at the last place 'Gite le Moulin', the best of all.

A wonderful route with unforgettable views. Helpful information was provided before the start of the trek. The route is demanding, and for those who walk at a slower pace, the suggested walking times are rather difficult to achieve. On the last day, the route ends not at the accommodation but near the chairlift to Chamonix, where the hotel is located. It’s important to note that the chairlift stops operating at 5:00 PM, so if you want to make it in time, you really need to hurry that day or shorten the route. This information should be included in the app. I don’t recall any place where credit cards weren’t accepted. Dinners in the mountain huts are usually around 7:00 PM. In most places, you can get hot water for free.

Booking through bookatrekking was easy and at first, I had doubts if it was a scam, but then all the info started flowing and when I arrived at the different huts everything was in order as it should. I was relieved when I arrived at the first hut and the reservation was in my name. The whole experience was as or better than expected.

I can highly recommend Bookatrekking.com. It was superbly easy to go for a trek with them.

Overall we were very pleased with the arrangements. All reservations and meal services worked as planned. In a few instances we found the Komoot map to have minor errors which were easy to avoid as we also used IGN 1:25 000 maps and Strava to track our route. The short written descriptions of the route were probably cut-and-paste from some other itinerary as they were occasionally inconsistent. Somewhat confusing was also the description of the end of the tour, which stopped high above Chamonix. But overall, our experience was very positive. Even the 76-year old father (Eero) walked the entire circle!

Our experience with Bookatrekking was exceptional. We were a group of 10 strong, with ages 11 to 70. Their reservations and informative pre hike communications and data proved to be reassuring and helped all of us with our preparedness. I will use Bookatrekking in the future!

Bookatrekking provided a very detailed itinerary that was a great help in planning for the trip. The itinerary included contact information for each hut along with distance and elevation profiles. Also included was a route overview section that acts as a quick look guide for each day including distance, ascent/descent and estimated time. This was followed by a very detailed description of each stage. This was a great help in preparing for the trip. In addition, each hut was also described in detail. The huts were expecting us and in general were very clean and welcoming.

Bookatrekking reserved all of our refugios on the TMB in 2024. They clearly have a good relationship with the refugios because everything was in order when we arrived which gave us great peace of mind. The route planning could have been a little better. They simply provided the Kamoot app with links to each day's trek and no real training on how to use it. Also, we wanted to make a tweak to our plan to see if it was possible to pay a little more and stay in a private room instead of the dorms on one night and Bookatrekking would not reach out to the refugio to even see if it was possible to make that change - which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a great trip and we appreciate what Bookatrekking did for us.

I’ve left a previous review of the company for our tour of Mont Blanc. This review is about the specific refugios: 1) Gite Les Mezeles - I can’t say enough about our hosts or about accommodations. Truly a wonderful evening! 2) La Croix Bonhommes - amazing location, but can be challenging as it’s 100 person dorm. I wish we had booked a private room. Large rooms, old bathrooms, and heavy doors that almost knocked me down the stairs. I do not have anything negative to say about the food or staff because I don’t know how they managed to get the food & cook the meal they did! 3) Refugio Elisabetta - another large dorm and some non-functioning washrooms made it challenging. Some staff were super friendly, and some staff were not willing to help. Decent food. 4) Refugio Maison Vielle - another amazing & accommodating host! Beautiful setting! Great meals! The only issue was noisy guests at 5 a.m.who would not listen to our complaints. 5) Refugio Gio Bertone - Beautiful setting! Check-in process was unnecessarily long and laborious. Meals were OK. Staff was ok. 6) Gio Alpage de la Peule - lovely setting, and wonderful meals. Friendly staff. 7) Relais Darpette - I cannot remember much about this Refugio 8) Aunerge Mont Blanc - Lovely places to sit, decent food, nice staff. 9) Gite Le Moulin - friendly staff, good showers, good meals. In Courmayeur, we were in Hotel Triolet - very friendly and accommodating staff and amazing breakfast!

We booked to hike the TMB through Bookatrekking and it was seamless - communication was great from the start, we received all our details and information in plenty of time, and there were no hiccups along the way. Would not hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again for a similar trip.

Good experience with good price! Areas of improvement: - The App doesn't show all the restaurants and huts for late breakfast and lunch. - The last refuge on Day 9 is 20 minutes off the track. The distance is not spread across evenly across the 10 days. Some days you just walk 4 hours, some for 7. - Some refuges provide minimal breakfast, especially on the big day where the itinerary said,"Get a big breakfast before the big climb today." - Due to the ease of accessibility, too many beginners who don't know mountain etiquette are on the hike. Like students and seniors, who tend to break the rules and disrespect other hikers in the dorms.

Great experience!! I do think it could be done in 8 or 9 days rather than 10, but over all it was so amazing! Views were phenomenal. I can’t wait to book again! We stayed in private rooms 2/10 days and only had one night with the backpacker bucks (16 twin bunks packed in a row; fairly standard). Would do again with same accommodations.

Superb TMB hike. Distances between most huts were a good but achievable challenge. Will definitely do this hike again one day.

I'm pretty happy with the experience. It certainly simplified everything, I had no issues with my bookings, the refuges were nice and the maps were overall convenient. I had some slight issues with the maps on one of the days, and I know for a fact that other people got lost as well, and we found the listed distances to be inaccurate on some occasions. Otherwise I had no issues, and will consider booking with this company again! The price is reasonable too 🙂

good communication and excellent trek planned

I had a great experience in doing the Tour du Mont Blanc because Bookatrekking provide me all kind of information regarding to necesary equipment, the ideal weight of the bag and how to train for the trip. Also, they made good reservations in apropriated auberges, located at good distances.

I was happy with the refuges that were booked. Everything went well and was as described. The komoot app was not up to date. There were several places it tried to direct us incorrectly.

I will give 5 star to Bookatrekking.com and especially to Ms Annemiek Meulenbeld for the fantastic and professional work by her and her team. We were a huge group of 24 members and we started to work on the project in August 2023. She was very patient with all my queries, which I had many, during the planning stage; as we were working with them for the first time. To accommodate such a huge group in one mountain hut was a challenge. But they manged to accomplish that huge task. All the mountain huts had proper booking for our group without absolutely no hiccups. The company also provided us with the detailed navigational maps, especially plotted for our group on Komoot and they all worked to the tee. We had no difficulty. The planning and coordination was actually tested to limit, as I, the leader and coordinator of the group got injured on 3rd day of the trek and had to be airlifted to a hospital; but even despite the leader's absence there was no problem with the logistics. So all the kudos to the team Bookatrekking.com and to Ms Annemiek Meulenbeld. I will recommend this company to anyone and everyone with my eyes closed. Best of luck and keep doing good things.

The TMB was awesome, the nature was beautiful. However there were some misalignments: routes on Komoot were not as punctual as it should be (I guess). It meant, that for example on the last day the route ended on the top of the mountain. And there's also another feedback: the planned routes were marked as "expert", however there were differences between "expert" and "expert" hiking routes which resulted that on one day the reoute was extremly hard and 2 of the group were really scared to do it. The bookings were totally fine. Everything went smoothly.

My daughter and I enjoyed the hike immensely. The distances were achievable but challenging: which is what we were looking for. Met and made some great friends on the hike! All the refuges were very good except for Refugio Bertone which barely served any food for breakfast and was very unwelcoming throughout the stay.

Well curated selection of huts and excellent navigation support with the app Komoot. Answered questions by email quickly and completely. Issues came in when we were on the trail and needed to make some adjustments due to impending bad weather. Providing some back-up routes and options (chair lifts, train, bus) would have really been helpful and increased our enjoyment. These are readily available through various sources on the internet and would really have rounded out the offering.

The trek details were well organized with refuges booked for each night. The process was easy for us, setting our minds at ease. When we asked questions Bookatrekking personnel responded quickly. We noticed that our itinerary was very similar to several groups on the trail, including a guided tour, and enjoyed reminiscing with our new friends each evening.

The process went smoothly for the most part, the bookings were made and I had no issues with them. Really enjoyed refuge la balm and les mottets (tmb western side). The maps on komoot were also nice, except for the last day going up to Maison vieille (I recommend that the bookatrekking team has a look at this as several people got lost on this day). Otherwise it worked well enough, and it was nice that you could download the maps for offline use. I truly enjoyed my trip, and booking through a company means that you will see the same people in all refuges along the way, share a room or be seated together for dinner, this was definitely a highlight of the trip for me! 😁

A great challenge for me a 60yo not super fit who did the trek solo, This was my first multiday hike. tough, great scenery, always food and a beer at the end of the day, Thanks to bookatrekking for booking some lovely and unique refuges Met some lovely people along the way, already thinking of the next trip!

Saw gorgeous views, made great friends and tried my best.

Very clear reservations, very responsive to requests to make changes before the trip started (preferred to have some private rooms, added on an additional day). The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that even though we had a WhatsApp number to call and text if there were problems, questions about changes in the route were not answered immediately. Things like weather are unpredictable, which is understandable, but there were routes which were impassable, and no one could answer our questions about alternate routes.

Overall excellent experience , they helped to book otherwise very hard to book mountain hut, itinerary well planned. Bookatrekking was easy to contact, reply promptly. The one star missing is because of the fact that there is better mountain huts along the way, but I can understand bookatrekking probably don’t always book the best hut to control the cost. For example Bertone could be changed to Bonatti for a much better experience. I would also switch Elisabetta to Combal because of overcrowdness and bed bugs. We saw a few bed bugs. Be aware there are bed bugs in some of the huts. Another thing to point out is that the komoot app,the GPS bookatrekking gives are not specifically for your intinerary, it is communal, you have to adjust it to your specific start and end point, we didn’t know about it on our first day, resulting walking some extra kilometer after a long day hike. All in all, would I use bookatrekking again? Yes. Would I do TMB hut to hut had I known? I’d hesitate. I would probably choose to camp and use baggage transfer service.

Great hiking! Maps provided not always accurate;ran into many challenges

Using the help of Bookatrekking is very convenient, it took only a few days from booking a trek to already receiving all confirmations and the hiking guide. All my additional questions were answered quickly. The huts were nice and everything went smoothly. One suggestion for future is to add more information about the daily routes, including alternatives or even just a warning. For example, on our 10 day TMB, end of stage 4, there was a part that was very difficult and even dangerous, which came as a bad surprise for us.

We have booked TMB with bookatrekking and I have got to say that it was a pure pleasure on our end. The refuges were safely booked and even some of the bookings included a private room instead of a dormitory which was amazing! If you're hesitating to purchase this trip from them don't be, you're in good hands!

It was great to have accommodation available every night.

My trip went flawlessly. The days were planned to my liking and I had no issues at the accommodations getting checked in. All huts were properly reserved, the rest day was in the perfect spot, and everything went as smoothly as one can hope when planning a trip 6-8 months out. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bookatrekking again. Only had 1 issues and it was immediately remedied via WhatsApp without second thought. The value was worth it on my end for having to do little to no planning other than preparing the body and mind.

It was an incredible experience. Highly recommend the TMB to anyone that has a sense of adventure. Definitely a bucket list hike. Bookatrekking was a very good company that we would definitely recommend. We came to them on short notice because we tried to book huts on our own but it was late in the season. They successfully scheduled us on a 10 day hike with nice hotel accommodations both before and after. And got all our arrangements with our huts during hike. Only recommendation would be if you are planning this trip start early to get your best accommodations. Bookatrekking was very reasonable and maintained good communication. Would definitely use them again.

The printed material outlining the daily hikes was helpful. The Auberges and Refugio’s were delightful and the Komoot downloaded maps were good. If you don’t know how to do the TMB, bookatrekking.com is an inexpensive and great way to help.

The TMB was overall a great trail to hike. I liked that there was an option to only do a portion of the TMB. The refuges where we stayed were great. Bookatrekking's hiking guide was helpful and the komoot app. The distances provided in the hike was not accurate and was under estimated by at least about 2 km. The 2nd and 3rd days were very far for a days hike with lots of elevation. 23km and 25 km respectively according to my garmin. On day 4 there are two routes to hike. The main route and another route that goes over a col. Other hikers took the route over the col and had to hike through snow and it was late in summer. A warning of possible snow would've help them

Our trek was fantastic and memorable. We did have a few issues with hut owners. There seem to be a lack of communication between bookatreking and some huts. Our party had a cancellation and there seemed to be a problem of notification between myself, hut managers, and bookatreking. It was sorted out but Hut managers were not happy with us. We do thank bookatreking for booking our huts. They made it easy for a large party. Cheers

having the huts booked, the itinerary so we knew what was coming up. well chosen refugios, alberges and all meals. some were better meals. I felt that if they had a road the food was better

We had a great 10 days hiking the TdMB. The accommodations were generally well spaced out and comfortable. Because we were 4, we often got family rooms in the dorms, so had a bit more privacy which was welcome. It is possible to book all of the accommodations without bookatrekking, but it would have been very time consuming and left us with some uncertainty about distances between huts, etc. Having Bookatrekking take on these bookings made the trip much easier to organize!

nature, meetings with other adventurers

The service itself is nice, especially for those who do not want to manage any bookings. Though you need to keep in mind that sometimes there are cases when you cannot reach the booked refuge (because of horrible weather, etc.) and for that you will not get refunded. So, for those who like freedom of decision, would be better to book everything by themselves although it might get tricky when booking late.

Bookatrekking was very responsive and really made this experience easy to enjoy taking the headache out of organising the logistics. I had issues on my first day getting accustomed to how to navigate with the trail app they suggest and they were very helpful and patient. Highly recommend

Bookatrekking were very helpful in organising our hike for us and telling us which walks to do. They were able to book us private bunk rooms for our group of 5 which was amazing too. The gite we stayed at on the first night was definitely a highlight, especially after the first day which was a lot longer then expected! - get the cable car from les Houches if you plan on doing the high route on day 1!! The Croix du bonhomme refuge was a bit of a let down- we don’t have high expectations of a mountain hut in the middle of nowhere- but there wer flies absolutely everywhere- landing on the tables indoors and also two of us had flies cooked into our food 😅, not to mention the drop toilets not being very well maintained. Luckily this hut had amazing views and Ibex nearby which made up for it.

After booking with bookatrekking, their staff went above and beyond to make our experience amazing and easy. Every single place they booked for us paned out and even though the quality varied, none were awful and all had rooms ready and food on the table for us. The only thing stopping me in giving them 5 stars is the fact that they recommended Komoot as a tracking app and some of the tracks were not great.

First time using Bookatrekking and for the most part it worked out very well. I would rate the experience as a whole 9/10 due to a mishap on the first day where the provided PDF guide from Bookatrekking wasn’t specific enough about the refuge we were staying at. It made us end up an hour and a half away from our stay, resulting in us having to book - and pay - at a nearby campsite instead. Since it was late in the evening there was no option to walk back to the planned refuge (as we had alrdy missed out on the otherwise provided dinner!). But what started with a mishap ended with another perfect 9 days of hiking with perfect weather.

Bookatrekking was incredibly helpful me created a great self-guided itinerary for the TMB. All the resources were super useful and we had an amazing time. The refuges they booked were all of a high standard and we ate like kings and queens!

A very well planned Tour du Mont Blanc trip booked and scheduled by Bookatrekking. Routes were mapped out clearly on the recommended Komoot App which was easy to use and follow. Communication with Bookatrekking was always excellent and highly professional. Any deviations to the route that we made due to weather, we were always able to let them know and they would update the huts en route. Highly recommend Bookatrekking.

Amazing thru hike and tour around the beautiful Mont Blanc massif!

This was one of my favourite experiences to date! Having the ability to have everything pre planned, booked and routed aloud it to be a stress free experience. Everything went smoothing and the company was able to answer all my questions very quickly! The pre set hiking trail links to Koomot was a life saver. I cant wait to book another hike through bookatrekking. I did the 10 day TMB hike and it was absolutely magnificent I'm new to hiking and definitely jumped into the deep end with this one but it was such a rewarding challenge! I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

They arange everything when you arrive at your refuge you only have to say your name and your in I am already looking for a new trail

We did a ten day hike around Mont Blanc organized by bookatreeking. All the bookings planned out, and the route was well designed. Normally we plan and book our own trips, but using bookatreeking saved us a bunch of time at a minimal extra cost. I would love to give the experience five stars but unfortunately the written itinerary (pdf) provided by bookatrekking was quite faulty and not of much use. This was balanced by the brilliant app Komoot that had all the details right, so all in all def a recommendation when planning your next multi day hike. We will be coming back for more adventures.

Best experience of my life! We did a short Tour du Mont Blanc, and now we are planning to return to do the whole Tour. All arrangements and communucation with bookatrecking great.

Bookatrekking made the process very smooth. The huts booked were all fantastic, food was great. Overall the tour route (5 day Chamonix-Courmayeur) was probably a bit too long (I completed it on the 4th and then walked BACK to my accom outside of Courmayeur) but this would be due to different exercise levels! Very happy to have booked with a stress free option regardless. The variation options and access to Komoot trail paths were excellent.

We had a wonderful tour around Mont Blanc. We were very lucky with the weather, except for 1 day we were greeted by sunshine and beautiful panoramas. Fact, that the mountain huts were booked for us by bookatrekking made the organization much easier. Communication with Bookatrekking was great, we didn't need extra support during the tour, because everything was very well organized. Everything was fine (except sometimes the komoot track) All in all, you have to be careful with this kind of adventure, because you can easily become addicted.

I've used a similar service on another thru hike but this one was superb. Great level of communication before and throughout. I felt the small upcharge from organizing all this myself was well worth it.

Amazing experience! Met the hikers on the same itinerary and we ended up hiking together on some parts and eating dinner together most times. Lots of laughs and good times. Will definitely book another trip!

Great trek, well organized, plenty of information. I would suggest moving the last night’s accommodation from Gite Le Moulin to Le Refuge de la Flégere to make the hike to Les Houches on day 10 more manageable.

I liked having all my places booked. Thank you! I wish I could have had better service in downloading the Koomot maps. I was the only one who was able to do that out of my group of four. When I asked for more help, it really wasn't given adequately. Appreciated the free drink at Aberge Mt Blanc:) Loved our treks, both Alta via and TMB. The only Refugio that was not very good was Vallercine, wished we could have been at Tissi instead. At Vallercine we were put in an old musty molding shed. All in all the trek was a fabulous experience

Just come back from completing the Tour Du Mont Blanc. We decided to book with Bookatrekking and everything went really well, we had no problems at all with accommodation that had been booked for us. Overall they are great value for money. They also have a whatsapp number for us to contact them if we needed them for anything. We are already looking into our next trip and will definitely be using Bookatrekking again.

Bookatrekking.com is fantastic value After initially trying to construct an itinerary for an Alta Via 1 hike it proved too challenging to make all of the necessary contacts at the various refugios and get all of the dates aligned. So after researching companies that provide this booking service I chose Bookatrekking based on their reviews and their affordable pricing. The trip experience was great and their were no issues at all with the arrangements that Bookatrekking provided. I did have to contact them for a couple of questions and they always replied promptly and answered my questions. During my trip I met several other people that also used Bookatrekking and they all shared with me that they had a very positive experience with them.

My sister and I did 5 days on the TMB and really enjoyed it. The refuges were clean and staff very welcoming. They tried so hard to accommodate my sister’s allergies in each hut. We met interesting people along the way and the views were beyond our expectations

The itinerary and maps were really useful! Easy way to book the trek accomodation and not too pricey! Some accomodations were amazing like Gite Moulin and Le motit but there were a couple that I think were not good, the cabin at D arpette was like a dog kennel with spiders in it, rather have a dorm room or pay a lot more for a private room.

we had a fabulous time, saw spectacular scenery and made new friends over our 11 day TMB trek. The refuges, refugios, gites and auberges we're all different and each had something great. We did feel our itinerary pacing and difficulty after Coumeyour did not take into account our 67- and 68-year-old body limitations... we had one day of 22 kilometers followed by a 24 kilometer day. The 22 kilometers day was described as one of the most difficult stages and the info from Bookatrekking said to get a good breakfast. Well, we had to skip breakfast altogether to give us enough time to complete the stage, which took us 11 hours. That was followed by the even longer stage the next day, which was described as an easy walk along the lake. Hah! The first half was fine and pleasant, and then it became a long long uphill slog. the lake comes at the very end and is at most 2-3 kilometers of the 24 kilometer day. Would have been so happy if our stay that night was in Champex and we could have enjoyed the lake. Instead, we had to hike kilometers beyond to get to our lodging. These two killer days was followed by the stage even mountain climbers we ran into said was really tough. The info from Bookatrekking noted the challenge and difficulty and mentioned an easier variant, but the language could have been stronger to warn us off. we opted for an easier variant and we're glad we did. So two days out of the 11 were more difficult then we would have liked, but other than that, we found Bookatreking a great company, responsive to our questions and all the arrangements went smoothly.

The trail was amazing an easy to follow, made some bookatrekking friends on the way. Offline map was not always accurate and its super nice that they do all the reservation work, it can be a nightmare!

My friend and I used Bookatrekking to secure our accommodations for the TMB, after trying for several weeks to arrange them ourselves without success. Overall we had a positive experience and would recommend Bookatrekking for hikers who want to save themselves the hassle of setting up nightly lodging along their route. We didn't know when we paid for the service that we would also get free access to the Bookatrekking app. Overall, this was a big plus! The app is well-designed, consolidated all lodging info in one convenient place, and provided generally good navigation and info on each day's distance and elevation change. Some details of our itinerary were less than ideal (two very short hiking days in a row, followed by two very long ones in a row, for example) but it seemed everyone on the TMB had to finagle their route here and there to make it work, so this wasn't unique to Bookatrekking! All the days were doable. We wished the app included more information on what to expect for amenities and meals at each hut/refuge (for example, knowing which huts have laundry facilities and which huts serve scant breakfasts would help with planning). I did some in-depth research on Google instead, so we generally knew what to expect at each place, but most of our fellow Bookatrekking travelers did not. The other issue we and others had with the app was the navigation feature. Having nav right on the app was very convenient, but there were multiple (mostly short) sections of the trail where the app's route differed from posted signage. We always followed the app, and sometimes its alternate routes worked out well or seemed like improvements over the marked trail, but other times the app's routes were illogical or inconvenient. If the app is going to diverge from posted signs of a trail as well-marked as the TMB, we felt it should at least offer an explanation so hikers can make an informed choice on which route to follow. Finally, the app's daily route summaries gave us a false sense of security, so to speak, and we wish we had ignored them and relied on our guidebook instead. If Bookatrekking is going to offer these summaries, they should be more detailed. For example, one variant we took, the Fenêtre d'Arpette, was simply described in the app as "challenging but rewarding." It turned out to involve a long section of technical bouldering, which we handled fine, but less experienced/fit trekkers would have been hard pressed to navigate. All in all we had an amazing time on the TMB, Bookatrekking was a reliable service to set up lodging, and their app has a lot of potential but could use more detail!

Communication and planning was good, main problem was their new app is nowhere near the level of komoot or all trails in terms of being able to navigate. Offline can be a bit buggy as well.

The accommodations were each good and we were booked to stay, for dinner and breakfast. The best food was in the last Rifugio Passo Valle closely followed by Rifugio Contrin and Casteglioni. The map and instructions guide in advance were very helpful in planning. When we walked the map unfortunately disappeared at times. The descriptions of the walks were brief and did not reflect the degree of difficulty involved. If written by a walker they probably would have better reflected the route. We enjoyed the walk.

Whilst the booking process was smooth, there was not much willingness to look into other potential dates in order to try and secure more private rooms The pre trip information was comprehensive and included valuable tips. The app was quite slick and well designed

Refugio Huts booked were excellent. no problems at any refugios. Hike routing was well described. Trip description was a bit misleading.

The convenience has to be the best thing about bookatrekking, which is ideal if you have no prior experience of organising your own hut-to-hut trip. Although the price is quite steep compared to booking refuges yourself, the interactive app with information and map is really great. We used booktrekking for the dolomites and would recommend for this area. Others we met on our trip had also used booktrekking for a Kilimanjaro trip and were using them again for the dolomites after a successful trip.

Had a wonderful time hiking the full Alta Via 1 including hotel before and after. Everything was I expected until day 8, the last day, from Rifugio Pramperet. Overnight I was extremely sick and had to take an easier route to Forno di Zoldo instead of the traditional route to the Pissa bus stop. At Forno di Zoldo I met a fellow hiker that stayed that same evening at Rifugio Pramperet and also had to take the easier route, who told me she was sick too. We narrowed it down to the lunch of spaghetti and meat we both had upon arrival. Being extremely weak, totally dehydrated by my overnight ordeal, hiking that day was the most difficult thing I have ever done.

The trek was well organized from mountain cabin to cabin, it was worrieless and there was a great navigation app to follow the route. The signs were well marked along the route but the first trek to Grialetsch hütte we didn't see the signs which were following the navigation so we ended up on a higher route (climbing over rocks etc, a T3 trek). When we arrived at the hütte the manager said that "All Dutch take the T3 route..." so there must be something wrong in the signposting.

We recently used Bookatrekking.com for our hike in the Dolomites. The company offered plenty of choices to trek through these beautiful mountains at a very reasonable cost. We ultimately chose the first half of the classic Alta via 2 route. Overall I think the itinerary was very good. The 6 day trek was just right for me and offered a perfect time to get a taste of hiking through the Dolomites. Last year we did the haute route using the same company and the 12 days of trekking was pushing my limits. I loved the choice of huts along this route. The downloadable itinerary with descriptions of each daily trek with GPS maps were extremely user friendly. I liked staying at the Boe hut rather than the Pisciadu hut (that is in the Cicerone book) was a much better choice. It made for a longer trek but is well worth it. I also enjoyed trekking together with the same people that had booked the same itinerary through their company. Being assigned our meals at the same table each day allowed us to make some true friends along our journey. Finally, I thought your staff was extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to my queries. This has been my second trip using Bookatrekking.com and have already planned my next years trip with them as well.

Very organized. Nice front end and back end accommodations. All huts provided adequate food and water, showers, beds. All very clean. Rosetta hut was least favorite of our group. Bread only for breakfast and upcharge for meat or yougurt. No showers. Also think Via Ferrata gear should ABSOLUTELY be required for this hike. Very dangerous without it. 80 people have already died in Dolomites sine June 21st including a German man right by Mulaz. Think you need to explain to all how difficult this hike is and dangers of exposure. You booked a group of American business men who shadowed us who had never hiked before. They were totally unprepared without the fitness level or skills to do this hike.

It was the hike overall. There was some things that were not ideal with the service - for instance, there is a recommendation to take a paper map, but when I requested suggestions on the map, there was no reply from my email request. Was concerned about navigation, and while the app worked on some phones, it did not work on my phone without wifi particularly for the alternative routes. Having said that, would book again in a heartbeat when I can arrange to get myself to the Alps!

The huts were clean, beds comfortable, and meals were good. I was not happy with the company supporting travels from out of the country. There is no phone number to call and email responses were short, lacked detail and took several days to receive. We experienced heavy rain and snow and there was no information on how to navigate alternate options, routes or services in these cases. I do not feel as though this company provides good support for first timers of this type of experience.

We had an incredible 4-day hiking trip in Triglav National Park!! The routes bookatrekking gave us were the perfect length and the gps navigation software within the app was helpful and reliable. Would book again with bookatrekking.

It was an amazing experience. The hike was beautiful and the huts were cosy. However it would have been nice to have been able to shower. Also to have known that the final stretch to the Triglav was really more climbing than hiking and actually quite dangerous going down. In addition, we were told to follow the red dots, but these lead us off the route almost at the start already.

The app provided by Bookatrekking was useful, until it wasn’t… it took us down an unsafe, vertical segment of the route, which required us to crawl down various ledges with our hands and feet, and coach each other on footholds. This was unnecessary and avoidable by going a different route. At the end of the trek, it indicated the bus stop was in a different location than in reality, which caused us to almost miss the bus. It would have been nice to have known which rifugios do not take credit cards, so that we could more properly plan for bringing cash. We did not have an issue, but others did. Overall we immensely enjoyed our hike and there were no other hitches besides what I described above. It was nice to not have to stress over the rifugio reservation process.

Easy booking and navigation worked well for us. However, the only problem was that the trek Alta Via del Granito - Classic wasn't correctly classified (T2) or at least the description should mention that the hike is technically difficult and not suitable for beginners. I have done TMB, Mt.Toubkal and other technically quite difficult trails but none were as difficult as this one. It wasn't a problem for me, but my companion was on her first hike. The path is mostly exposed, with a real danger of falling, mostly unsteady footing. The 2nd day before the rifugio cima d'asta the ascent was crazy technical and would really benefit from some ropes or chains, as the path was marked on an almost vertical slab and I personally have never experienced a hike where I was that scared to actually fall off the mountain. Again, an experienced hiker can find their way, but way too dangerous not to mention it in the description. Please add it, because the trek is technically challenging for sure.

We have had an amazing 4 days in the Slovenian mountains. The hikes were good planned and the gps was easy to follow. Unfortunately we found out two days before departure that there was no guide available for us to take us to the summit as we had agreed. Luckily we could book one ourselves in Slovenia. Other than that bookatrekking has been very helpful and good

We had an amazing experience in the beautiful Alps. Process of purchasing was smooth. All the reservations for accommodation worked well, we liked the routes provided. Beautiful hike through the Menalon Trail in the Peloponnese in Greece. The trails winds through mountains and valleys and is mostly shaded, often running by a stream. Wonderful well marked trail doable in 5 to 8 stages. But the hiking is somewhat rigorous due to long inclines and declines, but mostly due to slippery, loose rock covered trails. It takes a lot longer than you’d think. The Bookatrekking app severely underestimates daily hiking times by at least 50%. That said Bookatrekking did a great job organizing the trek and all went perfectly. Easy to use app too and the navigation tool was much better than other downloadable apps.

My wife and I did the Alta Via 1 from 21 till 28 June. We are both fit and healthy and had prepared well for the trek. Our trek coincided with high temperatures throughout Europe, and they were felt by us on the trek even at high elevations. We really enjoyed the Dolomite experience, and we were able to negotiate the Bookatrekking app to guide us on the trail. We have a few points, however, we would like to address in review: 1. The App and navigation were useful. However, the day-to-day trek descriptions lacked sufficient detail of track conditions and identification of track numbers would have been useful. In some cases, the descriptions are misleading or just wrong. For example, on Day 8 “…as you make the final descent to the La Pissa bus stop, where the Alta Via 1 ends.” The La Pissa bus stop is not where the trek ends but is approximately 500 m to the north on the opposite side of the road. By the way, walking on the busy road verge to the bus stop was one of the most dangerous parts of the whole trek (the bus timetable is also hit and miss). 2. At times the GPS update on the navigation App was slow and positions were prone to jump around. This was particularly tricky at key track intersections, when decisions of the correct direction needed to be made. Location details of potable water sources would have been useful. The elevation profile is scaled for each day and would be more useful if this retained a common scale (horizontal and vertical) across all the days. 3. The quality of the Rifugios varied greatly. We didn’t mind the older Rifugio accommodation. However, quality of service at Rifugio Passo Staulanza was very disappointing. We were accommodated in a small bunk room with 16 others. There was very little ventilation for the number of people and the humid and hot temperatures were oppressive. The number of toilets and showers were inadequate for the numbers staying. The Rifugio management was clear that there was not potable water but pro-actively sold bottled water that was witnessed to be sourced from their own taps. Water use was discouraged yet they advertised spas. Also, I ended up having a discussion with management regarding the cost of a boxed lunch that was not pleasant. In general, we would prefer to know we were paying for fixed costs (accommodation and meals) and it was a surprise to be charged for water for dinner or tokens for showers at some places. All the extra hidden costs mount up.

We wouldn’t have made it through our trek without BookATrekking’s navigation function on their App. 100% worth every penny and it was a relief knowing the didn’t have to worry about our sleeping arrangements since they booked such reputable places. 100% would recommend and use again!

I made half of AV2 and everything went very well overall. The insights and the Bookatrekking platform work very well. There are always some things to improve. For exemple at the last day of trekking we have to go to the hotel by bus, but there were no buses. They only start to operate In summer two days later at 28/6. We had to talk to someone that call a táxi for us. Also In the huts you said that dinner is included but then I have to pay for water at the meal. I understand that beers or wine arent included, but water!!

I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The journey was made even better thanks to our amazing guide tika Rai and his brother Sherpa. From the very beginning, our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and always made sure we were comfortable. He explained everything—from the history of the region to the best techniques for acclimatization. His passion for the mountains was truly inspiring. Our Sherpa was equally fantastic. He was incredibly strong, always smiling, and made sure our bags arrived safely at each stop. Without him, the trek would have been much more difficult! The trek itself was breathtaking. Every day brought new, stunning landscapes—towering peaks, beautiful valleys, and charming villages. The highlight was, of course, reaching Everest Base Camp, standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain. It was a surreal and emotional moment. I highly recommend this trek to anyone who loves adventure and nature. And if you have a great guide and Sherpa like we did, the experience becomes truly unforgettable!

What a great adventure to do the Anna Purna circuit and hike to the Thorang La Pass at 5416m. Everyday was great with such a beautiful landscapes, mountains and animals. I enjoyed every single minute, although it is a bit tough to hike this high as well, the views and people made every discomfort disappear. My guide Subash was amazing, he took such a good care of me and always made sure I had a good meal and room. He knows much about the mountains and is very professional. We had much fun as well, same with the porter Arjun. The guys are amazing, I will miss their always happy smiles. I would definitely recommend to go with Alpine Ramble treks.

Our trek to the Annapurna Base Camp in early December 2024 was an unforgettable adventure, impeccably organized by Dil Gurung and his team. From the flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara and back to being picked up in Pokhara and meeting our guide and porter, renting sleeping bags and a duffle bag, every detail was handled flawlessly. Our knowledgeable guide, Iman Gurung, and our very strong porter, Laudi Gurung, were incredibly helpful and always there when we needed them. I went on a solo trek to the Ghorepani Poon hill with Krishna and James. Amazing and helpful People. The trek itself had beautiful views.

We were a group of three, and we were put together with another two guys (they took age into account for a good matchup in both condition and sociability). This was our highest hike to date. The views and scenery were amazing. But what made the whole experience for us were our guide Purna, assistant guide Sajla, and porters Lauri, Min, and Home. Who didn't spare any effort in giving us the best experience possible, immersing us in local culture and ready to answer any questions along the trek.

 We used Bookatrekking..com.for our recent trek on the haute route from Chamonix to Zermatt. The company was very receptive to modifications in the agenda. They recommended several alterations in our route through alpine huts that were much better than on the “traditional route”. They kept us well informed even while we were hiking updating us on recent trail closures. The price was definitely a bargain and worth it for them to book our itinerary. I would definitely use them again, and in fact just booked the Alta route in the Dolomites for next year.

The scenery on the TMB was magnificent. Bookatrekking did a great job with securing reservations for the refuges. However, Bookatrekking could show a bit more flexibility in tailoring the reservations. I asked to have a rest day built into the itinerary but this was refused. I asked to have Days 5 and 6 changed so that Day 6 wouldn't be such a long day. This was refused.

I had to cancel a trek booking due to unexpected expenses. I have let the company know within 24 hours and I got back a full refund. Note that it was even after the booking was confirmed! Great customer services, answers quickly and with a thought :) Thanks guys.

Even in Corona times I got top service. Planning for a tour in the Dolomites I contacted bookatrekking very early the year and got advice and support from day one. Bookatrekking notified my when booking made sense and did accomodate for my special request (to leave out one overnight stay) with no problem. Unfortunately my son hurt his knee a few days ago and we had to cancel the planned trip and chose to make a replacement booking for a trip with my wife.
