Bookatrekking provide a turn-key service. They booked all the huts for me on the Alta Via 2, provided guidance, maps and gps navigation and tips for all parts of the trip. They were easy to contact and were extremely helpful throughout the process. All of these things made my trip easy and worry free. While on the trek, I spoke to many other hikers who had tried to organise their own treks. They all reported that it had been a nightmare booking huts. I avoided all that hassle by going with Bookatrekking. I recommend them and would definitely use them again!

Most incredible views, panoramic most of the way. Highly recommend this hike. Bookatrekking helped by booking huts in sequence taking a lot of the planning out, lining up this many huts can be challenging to arrange otherwise! Be aware, this hike has some tough sections and definitely need good weather (which we luckily had!) and there are via ferrata sections. Safety gear not essential but would be preferred if new to it! All worth it for the scenery!

This was the trip of a lifetime. With this being our first hut to hut trek in the Alps, BookATrekking made our experience accessible by booking each of our huts for us. The app they provide is incredibly convenient, especially the navigation/map feature - we relied on this throughout the trek. We also appreciated the additional information they provided about history in the Dolomites, emergency numbers and preparedness techniques, etc. The only suggestion I would provide would be giving an alternative shorter hike option on the last day in case people do not want to do a full day of hiking. For example, we hiked from Rifugio Contrìn back to Penia to catch a bus.

Impressive, Bookatrekking can provide such a good trekking system for their guests... It's user friendly and convenient.

The area I was walking in was stunning. The lodges that I was booked into, were warm welcoming and the food was really good. The paths were very well marked and easy to follow. There was good support and tips from the company, and they answered all of my questions promptly. I had some issues with the app while walking, but had no issues navigating

It was a wonderful trip, the adventure of my life. Wandering along the mountain trails of the Dolomites at every bend you discover a new view that takes away speech. Trekking in this place is a constant delight and a sense of freedom. Here the man really feels that he is alive! The organization was very good, there were no problems with accommodation and food.

Really easy way to book a trek. Four nights of accommodation in four different hotels/huts all confirmed within a couple of days. Info about the trek and the navigation app were both useful. Be good if there was an option for them to also book hotels for the night before/night after although it was easy enough for me to do this myself.

Bookatrekking did a great job setting up the accommodation along the Alta Via 2 for us. It went without a hitch. Just 2 comments: 1) Via Ferrata gear should be on the 'must have' list for packing and 2) It should be made clearer that private rooms are an option when booking the Refugios.

The Dolomites are absolutely stunning! Being in nature removed from the hustle and bustle of a city is a luxury. The huts were cute with decent food!

Booking the trek was very easy, and since it was late in the summer this was the only way to get places in the rifugios. Communication with bookatrekking was great - I talked with one of their people online before going, and also communicated with them on Whatsapp during the trek itself. The app works well and provided necessary information before and during the hike. The only issue we had was that it wasn't possible to change the course length for each day since the rifugios were pre-booked. The second day was extremely hard, and we decided to just skip it and take the bus to the next rifugio. If I had more flexibility I would have chosen to split it up to two days.

All our refugios were nice, and our meals were satisfying. The only thing I wished, the company would have been able to do, was to make the hikes from hut to hut more even in kilometers. Thaks a million. You did a fantastic job.

The experience of TDMB is unbelievable. The magestic views, the physical challenge and the people you meet are incredible. Bookatrekking made it very easy for us given I found it difficult to book consecutive nights myself. Book early as that makes a difference. Be clear on where you want to walk and any variants you might want to do. The food supplied was amazing. Packed lunches were great. Note Refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme needed 3 days notice for a packed lunch but this is not pointed out anywhere. The rest day in Cormayeur was excellent, as was the accommodation booked for us. The app was great but could have additional information on each days walk. The descriptions were a bit 'light' but the Knife Edge book helped. Overall a fabulous experience.

We loved bookatrekkking- it was very simple and took the stress out of finding the Refugios ourselves. The app enabled us to see live updates in the booking process and was perfect to use during the hike.

We had a fantastic time doing our first hut-hut backpacking experience. While it was only a 2-night, it gave us an ideal of how to pack and prepare for longer backpacking experiences. We met a lot of wonderful people along the way.

It was such a wonderful feeling when the 10 days trekking ends. It was well organized and maps were very helpful except one portion had a missing route. All the mountain huts were different and had a great experience of the hut stay. The most special things were meeting other hikers on trails and hut. We met many hikers from all over the world sharing the time together. I would like to do the similar trekking again next year. I hiked with my 29 years old son ( I turned 60 during this TMB hiking) and he really enjoyed this. It was a such a special memories with him.

Absolutely loved the AV2 Dolomites hut to hut trip! We had 6 days of hiking, 5 hut nights, 2 hotels during the trip and never had any issues, every hut and hotel had our reservation and all but the first hut included breakfast and dinner. All of the trip planning information was well needed and the offline navigation was very easy to use even in airplane mode and it was easy to understand and follow. 10/10, would definitely use them again!!

The Tour du Mont Blanc was a fantastic adventure that I can only recommend to everyone. Amazing scenery, epic hikes, great experience meeting likeminded people. Thanks for planning and organizing our trip, and for all the information provided. Everything worked great and we never had an issue along the way. I'd have only one recommendation for improvement: please improve the app. It is very basic, and though you can follow the route with it, there is not much else you can do.

They were on top of everything and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Everything was given to us at the time that we needed the information. From booking our Rifugios to having our online maps.

The people that we met in the huts were amazing. The trek was great. Would have liked abit more info on how to get to the trailhead as we come from a country that doesn't do public transport. Rural canada. But we figured it out. We over packed. We took everything that was recommended but didn't use half of it. Shoes for huts weren't needed as they provided cross. This trek was a dream come true. Thank you so much. Trip of a life time!!!!

A fantastic trek

Our experience has been great. The trip was easy to organize with the advisors. I had tried to book myself which was not an easy process and in the end needed the help of this great team!

It was an incredible experience and we were thankful for the services and tools provided by Bookatrekking, especially the packing list and navigation tools. The Alta via del Granito on the other hand was much harder than anticipated or advertised. As fit beginners we made it, but the tour should really not be underestimated. There are significant parts of the path where climbing over or up the rocks is necessary.

It reduced the effort of organising a hut to hut hike Even better if there is more detail in the day summaries and the alternative options (transport) for when there’s bad weather etc

It was great not having to worry about the logistics of navigating and booking rifugios. When I had a concern about one day being too long, we made adjustments prior to departure and they eased our concerns. Bookatrekking was very responsive! We had one hiccup with a rifugio not having our reservation on file, but because of their reputation/relationship, we were taken care of within moments.

The trek was beautifully planned, from the navigation through the accomodation. Everything worked smoothly, and it is very easy to use the app and the navigation. Specifically for the TDC, there was a problem in the Italian section of the hike, where the navigation took in a different path than the signs, but it is better to follow the app than the signs. It would have been nicer if the hotelin Saint Remy was on the path itself rather than a small detour, but the hotel itself was great

Heads up to Book a trekking. They did what I expected without bombarding me with emails, the check in at each refugio was easy with no issues on that side. The maps and gpx were excellent. Perhaps the biggest consideration for newbies is water... Half the refugios had water for free that was potable. 2 had endless free showers if I can call it that, still I was frugal with what I used and good to see others were the same. This can add up so it pays to carry cash too. I would recommend €100 as insurance. The other glaring difference was breakfast, if you are a bread person you are in luck as all had this, but if you prefer something cooked or an alternative you will be out of luck at some stays. The coffee is also warm, not hot but these are my nitpicks so dont be put off. Best refugio by miles was Capanna Passo. Great bed, massive breakfast menu, free water and showers and family run. 6 out of 5 stars and the benchmark.

Perfect weather. Beautiful mountains and views. The Dolomites are more rugged than expected. The trails were challenging and rewarding. Climbing Piz Boe was a highlight. Refugios were rustic and fun. It felt very authentic. Food was basic but we got the nourishment we needed.

My brother and I really enjoyed the 4 day Dolorama Weg. We had some dicey weather for the first couple of day with low visibility however the offline map (especially the elevation map) was easy to follow, the Refugios were amazing and the contact team at Bookatrekking were really helpful. Even with the weather, we had a really great time and the second two days were beautiful. This is a great way to go on an impressive hike, but know you’re following a safe route, and don’t have to arrange each accomodation yourself.

It was our guest visit to a hut ever. The experience was great but knowing they charged for showers would have been appreciated. Maybe a welcome email the day we arrived in the hotel with a reassuring number to call if there were issues. Luckily there weren’t. All the trek information was great but it is important you do NOT rely on the trek itinerary details to navigate with. Proper maps are required as they are not detailed enough. It was a great trip. The company provided regular updates. Thank you.

Makes planning really easy and less overwhelming. GPS worked really accurately in the dolomites!

Knowing what to expect, having accommodation and itinerary arranged, reasonable cost, good communication when required prior to our trip, great app and navigation tool. We would like to comment that some of the track markers were faded and a bit confusing even looking at a paper map. Without your navigation tool, we would struggle at times. The track numbers when shown were hard to match to map at times.

Walking in the most spetacular Nature! The refugies has a fantastic locations, the people are friendly and the food is good and solid. The weather chance fast but we had mostly good weather and luckily brought the right clothes. We can only recommend this walk!

A wonderful experience, well set, between hotel with sauna and hut in the moutains, spectacular scenic views. I did'nt do the last day, the 8 hours afraid me but as the train is going all through the valley it was easy to reorganise myself, on the counselling of people from the area.

I booked, via Bookatrekking, an arrangement whereby they booked my refuges (huts). They also provided my with a guided app. among itinary -the routes to walk and the places to sleep-. What also was very nice that sometimes -from la Peule to La Fouly- they a much nicer route than the regulier route :-) Also their service is great when you have questions. There are some minor points for Improvement. I recommend Bookatrekking for sure (I give them a 9 out of 10).

Our hike in the Dolomites was unlike anything I’d seen before, absolutely gorgeous. Bookatrekking made it possible. I’d originally tried to plan my own route and book rifugios on my own, but struggled to navigate the variable reservation policies and the language barrier. They consulted us on which available route would best suit our skill set then handled all of the logistics for booking within 24 hours. On top of that, bookatrekking prepared us with a comprehensive packing list, training regimen, and provided a map that was crucial for navigation. I cannot recommend this service enough

Everything was well laid out and executed. The phone app for the hike was great with the map for tracking the trail each day in Offline mode. All the details were there. Communications before the hike were good. I'd be happy to use this service again.

The food was super good at the last place 'Gite le Moulin', the best of all.

A wonderful route with unforgettable views. Helpful information was provided before the start of the trek. The route is demanding, and for those who walk at a slower pace, the suggested walking times are rather difficult to achieve. On the last day, the route ends not at the accommodation but near the chairlift to Chamonix, where the hotel is located. It’s important to note that the chairlift stops operating at 5:00 PM, so if you want to make it in time, you really need to hurry that day or shorten the route. This information should be included in the app. I don’t recall any place where credit cards weren’t accepted. Dinners in the mountain huts are usually around 7:00 PM. In most places, you can get hot water for free.

The trek was incredible and the scenery could never be experienced the same any other way. The trails are very challenging (I am a 58 year old woman) and the is a LOT of vertical climbing and descending. The app is critical for navigating your way. The huts are comfortable and clean. The food is great!

It was great to have accomodation and transport prebooked and to just be able to turn up ready to hike. However before departure we received an email telling us we didn’t need to take sleeping bags on our hike so we didn’t take any sleeping gear with us. We have hiked other hikes where beds with sheets and pillows were provided so we were disappointed that this information was completely wrong. We were very lucky that the huts had spare gear. There were others on our hike that had also been caught out by the same incorrect information.

Bookatrekking were very helpful in securing us a spot on the Alta Via 1! They were great in their communications and made the experience easy. The app you are supplied with for maps is amazing and easy to use. They provided so much info about the trip, what to bring, etc. I will definitely do another multi-day hike via Bookatrekking. Bookatrekking was super organized. They answered questions in a timely manner. All the reservations, itinerary information, schedules, were in place and everything went along very smoothly. The Komoot App was a great help. Heads Up: It would have been good to know they were sending the small light Cicerone Guide book by Gillain Price and we wouldn't have bought and carried the heavy Tobacco Maps. Also if they sent the Cicerone Guidebook much earlier so it had time to arrive so we could read it. Because they didn't put the country on the mailing address we didn't receive it until well after we were home. Hopefully, this will be rectified as everything else was superb.

The Laugavegur and Fimmvorduhals trail experience including huts was amazing. Bookatrekking did get all of the arrangements correct and we especially loved the Hotel Skoga after the trail but there are some logistics that Bookatrekking needs to improve upon. It took us months to get our formal itinerary after our hut dates were confirmed and there were mistakes and it had to be revised a couple of times. The Reyjkavik hotel was modest as expected but it didn't have secure storage and was inconvenient for the 6:30 bus to Laugavegur so we needed to pay for an additional stay elsewhere the night before and after in Reyjkavik. Also, Bookatrekking didn't supply us with the information to get into the Reyjkavik hotel and so we arrived there without that information and would have had no way to get in had we not happened to book additional nights there outside of Bookatrekking. Also, Bookatrekking didn't send us our bus tickets until asked for them a few days prior. And it would have been better to have sent us to the main bus station close to the downtown area from which the bus leaves after 7 AM, rather than the far away 6:30 AM bus that actually then went to the main bus station to catch the 7am bus.

Booking through bookatrekking was easy and at first, I had doubts if it was a scam, but then all the info started flowing and when I arrived at the different huts everything was in order as it should. I was relieved when I arrived at the first hut and the reservation was in my name. The whole experience was as or better than expected.

Overall we were very pleased with the arrangements. All reservations and meal services worked as planned. In a few instances we found the Komoot map to have minor errors which were easy to avoid as we also used IGN 1:25 000 maps and Strava to track our route. The short written descriptions of the route were probably cut-and-paste from some other itinerary as they were occasionally inconsistent. Somewhat confusing was also the description of the end of the tour, which stopped high above Chamonix. But overall, our experience was very positive. Even the 76-year old father (Eero) walked the entire circle!

Great trip! Great Refugio's!! Food was incredible at some!! We got lucky with weather, if we were 2 days later we would have been had big problems and not able to change our accommodations which would have been very inconvenient! There was a few small detail things missed in the communication. I still have not received my book!! I would still like it! Some of the information that requested was not correct before departure. We should have been told earlier about the free Kamoot maps. It worked out ok for me but some in our group paid before being informed by you guys. The biggest thing was our last day on trail you left us at the end of the trail with no notification that our hotel was 4 1/2 hour walk away! Good thing it all worked out good and stress free! I would consider using your company again:) Amazing trip overall!

Nice to do the hike without organising the huts and tracks

Very Happy that I booked this short Almenweg tour. I was solo, 67 woman with bad knees. I flew to Munich, easy train ride to Salzburg, then next afternoon I took a local train to Landgasthof Reitsamerhof and started the next morning right out their front door. At Athurhaus, I got the HochKonig Card, which technically is only good for 1 day, but I used it to ride the cable car down on the 3rd day. You just have to tell the attendant at the bottom the story. Note - the cable car does appear to be closed on Thursdays. Its an easy walk to the AlpenRose along a trail. I knew the last day, which is longer and steeper, would be very hard on my knees, so my husband picked me up somewhere above Bondlsee. This last leg could be hard on kids too.

Despite the weather preventing the completion of my hut to hut walk, the support, advice and detail of everything Bookatrekking did was second to none.

Our experience with Bookatrekking was exceptional. We were a group of 10 strong, with ages 11 to 70. Their reservations and informative pre hike communications and data proved to be reassuring and helped all of us with our preparedness. I will use Bookatrekking in the future!

Bookatrekking.com made it easy to enjoy hut-to-hut hiking in the Austrian Alps.

Bookatrekking provided a very detailed itinerary that was a great help in planning for the trip. The itinerary included contact information for each hut along with distance and elevation profiles. Also included was a route overview section that acts as a quick look guide for each day including distance, ascent/descent and estimated time. This was followed by a very detailed description of each stage. This was a great help in preparing for the trip. In addition, each hut was also described in detail. The huts were expecting us and in general were very clean and welcoming.

Bookatrekking reserved all of our refugios on the TMB in 2024. They clearly have a good relationship with the refugios because everything was in order when we arrived which gave us great peace of mind. The route planning could have been a little better. They simply provided the Kamoot app with links to each day's trek and no real training on how to use it. Also, we wanted to make a tweak to our plan to see if it was possible to pay a little more and stay in a private room instead of the dorms on one night and Bookatrekking would not reach out to the refugio to even see if it was possible to make that change - which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a great trip and we appreciate what Bookatrekking did for us.

They took a lot of the research, guesswork, and stress out of planning our trek in the dolomites. The guide they sent us was also incredibly helpful. You could book it all yourself if you are so inclined but contacting many of the huts is a little difficult, so this is by far the simpler method.

My experience with bookatrekking was excellent. The Team gave excellent advice to find the right tour for us before we booked. After booking we received all relevant details about the route, the huts and to prepare ourselves. Prior to the start of the tour, last minute information about whether conditions and accessibility of the track were aligned with the huts and shared with us. The GPS tracks provided were not fully correct, but we were always well on track, with maps and local advise, which is always the best way to get around safely. Altogether, I can fully recommend bookatrekking!

I’ve left a previous review of the company for our tour of Mont Blanc. This review is about the specific refugios: 1) Gite Les Mezeles - I can’t say enough about our hosts or about accommodations. Truly a wonderful evening! 2) La Croix Bonhommes - amazing location, but can be challenging as it’s 100 person dorm. I wish we had booked a private room. Large rooms, old bathrooms, and heavy doors that almost knocked me down the stairs. I do not have anything negative to say about the food or staff because I don’t know how they managed to get the food & cook the meal they did! 3) Refugio Elisabetta - another large dorm and some non-functioning washrooms made it challenging. Some staff were super friendly, and some staff were not willing to help. Decent food. 4) Refugio Maison Vielle - another amazing & accommodating host! Beautiful setting! Great meals! The only issue was noisy guests at 5 a.m.who would not listen to our complaints. 5) Refugio Gio Bertone - Beautiful setting! Check-in process was unnecessarily long and laborious. Meals were OK. Staff was ok. 6) Gio Alpage de la Peule - lovely setting, and wonderful meals. Friendly staff. 7) Relais Darpette - I cannot remember much about this Refugio 8) Aunerge Mont Blanc - Lovely places to sit, decent food, nice staff. 9) Gite Le Moulin - friendly staff, good showers, good meals. In Courmayeur, we were in Hotel Triolet - very friendly and accommodating staff and amazing breakfast!

We booked to hike the TMB through Bookatrekking and it was seamless - communication was great from the start, we received all our details and information in plenty of time, and there were no hiccups along the way. Would not hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again for a similar trip.

Good experience with good price! Areas of improvement: - The App doesn't show all the restaurants and huts for late breakfast and lunch. - The last refuge on Day 9 is 20 minutes off the track. The distance is not spread across evenly across the 10 days. Some days you just walk 4 hours, some for 7. - Some refuges provide minimal breakfast, especially on the big day where the itinerary said,"Get a big breakfast before the big climb today." - Due to the ease of accessibility, too many beginners who don't know mountain etiquette are on the hike. Like students and seniors, who tend to break the rules and disrespect other hikers in the dorms.

Bookatrekking made our visit to the Dolomites extremely easy to schedule. Their recommendations were spot on, and their customer service was top notch. Even with a snow storm and eventual cancellation of a couple of nights we found the entire experience hassle free. The hiking guide was extremely helpful, and their response to our questions were quickly answered. We would definitely use them again for any future excursions.

Great experience!! I do think it could be done in 8 or 9 days rather than 10, but over all it was so amazing! Views were phenomenal. I can’t wait to book again! We stayed in private rooms 2/10 days and only had one night with the backpacker bucks (16 twin bunks packed in a row; fairly standard). Would do again with same accommodations.

It was really helpful to have bookatrekking reserve lodging and coordinate maps. It was definitely more expensive than doing it ourselves, so I wish there had been more of a discount for multiple people. All of the accommodations were great maybe with the exception of the one at the lake near the Marmolada.

This was the best vacation I’ve ever had. My nephew and I hiked 50 miles of the Austrian Karwendel, and every day was different: the terrain, the effort, the huts. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I'm pretty happy with the experience. It certainly simplified everything, I had no issues with my bookings, the refuges were nice and the maps were overall convenient. I had some slight issues with the maps on one of the days, and I know for a fact that other people got lost as well, and we found the listed distances to be inaccurate on some occasions. Otherwise I had no issues, and will consider booking with this company again! The price is reasonable too 🙂

We hiked for 2 days before we got hit with 17” snow. The views were simply beautiful. Bookatrekking.com was always helpful. This is our 2nd hike with them. They credited us 50 euros for each day each person for the Refugio not used yet. If you have a chance to hike the Alta Via 1, don’t miss out.

Everything was perfect, expect Rifugio Staulanza. Uniformly he hikers found the owners very unfriendly. The food at Staulanza was also markedly of lower quality than the other Rifugio's.

Komoot worked well. Only gripe I have is with finding transportation at the end in Croce d’Aune. It could have been explained better and on Sunday’s buses don’t run. The other group that used bookatrekking had the same issue. They thought they had accommodations at the hotel there.

We had a great trip! All the huts were booked with no problem and the hikes were great fun (if quite tiring!), and BookATrekking provided a lot of useful info prior to the trip. Unfortunately due to unseasonably early snow we couldn't make it to the last hut, but BookATrekking refunded us the cost of the hut we didn't stay in.

My wife and I decided on hiking the Alta Via 1 for our honeymoon. I reached out a year in advance to begin the booking process only to be told by multiple places that they were either full or hadn't started booking yet. My wife is a planner and wanted to have our itinerary set in stone as soon as possible. With that in mind, Bookatrekking made the process of securing refugios each night totally painless. We were somewhat concerned that, being a more budget friendly option, Bookatrekking would set us up with worse facilities. That was definitely not the case! We greatly enjoyed the lodging each night. In addition, our trip wound up being cut short by a day due to a freak snowstorm and the company was responsive and accomodating in taking care of us. We were both very impressed with the quality of the service and would definitely use them again!

Very good local knowledge about the regions. The Komoot App maps they provide are extremely handy. I began my journey at the right time when I actually got to experience the dramatic change of weather (from sunny to snowy) over a period of 4 days. All in all, I learned some important survival skills from this trekking experience. Would definitely walk the Swiss Alps again. As a suggestion, it would have been really helpful, especially for first-time or inexperienced solo hikers like myself, if the tour company could also provide some "Life-saving tips for solo hikers" and mention some safety measures and warn about potential danger in their hiking guide, especially for multi-day trekking. *** Mobile network coverage When you are out in the mountains at high altitude, you may be out of range or blocked from mobile signals. There was no signals at the huts. I only got coverage 50% of the time. Without Internet access, you cannot get the latest weather forecast. You could only rely on the weather updates from one or two days ago. *** Assess your ability and trust the weather forecast As your life may depend on it. Hikers need to make their judgement calls whether to proceed to the next stage at the start of each day as your trip at each stage may get progressively longer. Know your fitness level and ability to finish a longer trip. Can you confidently do 24km within 8 hours in these terrains? I did not finish all 4 stages. I am still proud that I finished stage 1, 2 and half of stage 3. I made a detour to Bergun on day 3 due to snowy forecast. *** Smart watch with turn-by-turn GPS tracking If you have one, you definitely should use it. Send your Koomot trip details from the app to your Garmin device and avoid relying on your phone during the hike. You can only send the Koomot trip details while you still have Internet access. On day 1, which was supposed to be the shortest trip, I was off course twice even on a sunny day! Thanks to my Garmin watch. It beeped me when I was 75 meters off course. In hindsight it could have been worse. Can you imagine what it could have been after two hours of heavy snow when the tracks are covered and waypoints become invisible AND you are still 2 hours away from the next hut? *** SOS device. I never had to switch on my Garmin inReach even once but it's always a good idea to have one.

Overall a good job, but they did initially have us going to the wrong refugio. But after contacting them they were able to correct it.

I had a great experience in doing the Tour du Mont Blanc because Bookatrekking provide me all kind of information regarding to necesary equipment, the ideal weight of the bag and how to train for the trip. Also, they made good reservations in apropriated auberges, located at good distances.

Bookatrekking was very responsive to any questions we had a long leading up to our vacation. They took care of all of our reservations and then provided us with an individualized route via Komoot app which was tremendously helpful! The itinerary, the helpful hints for packing, it was all so worth it and we would absolutely use Bookatrekking for our next adventure!

Overall everything was great but some tips to consider: hotel Cristallano charges to hold bags - we were unaware of this even after contacting to hotel directly. Their breakfast starts at 7:30am and most people will be trying to catch the 8:05 bus to lake braises. The bus stop is 1.5kms away from the hotel making this situation near impossible. We started our hike on a near empty stomach. Met other bookatrekkers who had a different hotel close to bus stop and a breakfast at 7am.

All of the booking was easy and well done! Was my first time using this company. It made my first journey very easy to do!

Super experience!

The trek was all planned out on Komoot and absolutely no problems with the accommodation. I actually got a free drink in one establishment. I won't hesitate in using Bookatrekking.com when I plan further adventures.

Fabulous adventure! The landscape is amazing! We were given all the information so it was easy to get to the starting point, navigate the route. The only problem was the lack of sleep in the dorms, but it’s part of the mountain experience.

Everything was well organized including all the maps and other information. I gave 4 stars because the trek itself in some points was very hard and I didn’t get information about it in advance and in some huts there was an option to private room and I didn’t get the option in advance to choose for it. Other than that all was good.

Great adventure. Day 2 slightly more challenging than expected and we had great weather with good visibility. It perhaps didn’t align with the description / Kamoot timings. The route itself is beautiful, the huts all fantastic and great camaraderie with fellow hikers.

As a tourist in this area, me and my kids enjoyed a lot the organization and preparations on your side. The track was excellent, though unbalanced. One of the days was extremely long, and tough, without possibilities to cut shorts. Some cable cars are not working in the summer or stop early in the afternoon. 3 of the huts were excellent! Nice, clean, and convenient. The one in Zauchensee was not…. Even in Zauchensee there are better alternatives. Consider balancing day 3 with day 4, like moving from Waldgasthof to Flachau… We cut the segment from Waldgasthof to Sattelbauer by cable car and taxi, to allow time to finish the rest of day. The problem is that the cable car opens at 9:00, losing time in the morning. Last comment: day 2 starts with a 3.8 km steep descent to Kleineral. The last section is horrible to dangerous. Need to find alternative track. Overall - great experience. We enjoyed a lot

I was happy with the refuges that were booked. Everything went well and was as described. The komoot app was not up to date. There were several places it tried to direct us incorrectly.

I will give 5 star to Bookatrekking.com and especially to Ms Annemiek Meulenbeld for the fantastic and professional work by her and her team. We were a huge group of 24 members and we started to work on the project in August 2023. She was very patient with all my queries, which I had many, during the planning stage; as we were working with them for the first time. To accommodate such a huge group in one mountain hut was a challenge. But they manged to accomplish that huge task. All the mountain huts had proper booking for our group without absolutely no hiccups. The company also provided us with the detailed navigational maps, especially plotted for our group on Komoot and they all worked to the tee. We had no difficulty. The planning and coordination was actually tested to limit, as I, the leader and coordinator of the group got injured on 3rd day of the trek and had to be airlifted to a hospital; but even despite the leader's absence there was no problem with the logistics. So all the kudos to the team Bookatrekking.com and to Ms Annemiek Meulenbeld. I will recommend this company to anyone and everyone with my eyes closed. Best of luck and keep doing good things.

Bookatrekking was a wonderful company to work with when it came down to getting my trip to the Dolomites booked. I love that they booked everything for me and all I had to worry about was hiking and getting to my Rifugios. I even booked another adventure with them for the Alta Via 1. They communicated with me on Instagram and even through email when they realized a mistake had been made on part of my itinerary. I can't wait for another hike with them!

It was very convenient to have the refugios prebooked. My main suggestion for improvement would be to provide more flexibility to add a day or two more to the trek so that the daily distance could be reduced (because of the extreme amount of climbing and descent each day). Also the packing list could be customized by month to reduce weight further in the warmest part of the season (we went in mid to late July).

The trip was great. All my Refugio’s were expecting me as planned. The hikes were challenging. Be cardio ready and hit the stairmaster hard.

Bookatrekking made everything easy and were great to deal with. Great advice, information and route guidance.

This was a very good trip, with lots of beautiful views. Couple of things: 1. two weeks of hiking with no day off was QUITE hard, and it would be nice to have a day of NO HIKING in the middle. 2. Most of the huts provide minimal breakfast (bread with 2 slices of meat and cheese) and it could be difficult to hike up. Bring lots of snacks to be ready for this!

The hiking trip Bear Trek was just wonderful. The Book a Trekking staff was helpful and friendly. We liked most of the lodging, except for two hostels (Lauterbrunnen and Griesalp). After a tough hike, it's not ideal to have to share a room with strangers, to not even have enough space to put your backpack on the floor (room could only fit the bed), pay for towels, have really bad beds and pillows, dirty bathrooms, etc. But all the other lodging was perfect though! Would recommend booking a hiking trip with Book a Trekking!

Good support and preperation

The TMB was awesome, the nature was beautiful. However there were some misalignments: routes on Komoot were not as punctual as it should be (I guess). It meant, that for example on the last day the route ended on the top of the mountain. And there's also another feedback: the planned routes were marked as "expert", however there were differences between "expert" and "expert" hiking routes which resulted that on one day the reoute was extremly hard and 2 of the group were really scared to do it. The bookings were totally fine. Everything went smoothly.

We have booked Alta Via 1 8 days and it was amazing. We have accomplished the entire trail and met amazing people. The guidebook was well prepared with all necessary details. The only thing I would add would me some more motivational details per day, something like “after the last ascent, there will be much flatter and easier to hike” especially for long days 🤞

We had everything that we needed for our first hut to hut trek and felt confident with the written guide and bookings that bookatrekking took care of for us. The price was reasonable and we felt like we paid for what we were wanting. We preferred a self guided trek and bookatrekking took out the guess work of making that possible!

My daughter and I enjoyed the hike immensely. The distances were achievable but challenging: which is what we were looking for. Met and made some great friends on the hike! All the refuges were very good except for Refugio Bertone which barely served any food for breakfast and was very unwelcoming throughout the stay.

Well curated selection of huts and excellent navigation support with the app Komoot. Answered questions by email quickly and completely. Issues came in when we were on the trail and needed to make some adjustments due to impending bad weather. Providing some back-up routes and options (chair lifts, train, bus) would have really been helpful and increased our enjoyment. These are readily available through various sources on the internet and would really have rounded out the offering.

The trek details were well organized with refuges booked for each night. The process was easy for us, setting our minds at ease. When we asked questions Bookatrekking personnel responded quickly. We noticed that our itinerary was very similar to several groups on the trail, including a guided tour, and enjoyed reminiscing with our new friends each evening.

Booking a hut to hut trip with bookatrekking was great. Communication was proactive and clear, and the plan of the hike was especially well thought out. What stood out was the weather and trail updates up to the start of the trip - it was evident the team was well informed and guided travellers well when the huts informed us that the route selected was recommended over those other fellow travellers planned or received from their companies.

The Peter Habeler Runde is a beautiful hut track through Austria and Italie on high altitude with great views. Bookatrekking.com informed us timely when a day route was not safe to walk due to heavy rainfall and shared alternative routes to reach the next hut. Great experience.

The process went smoothly for the most part, the bookings were made and I had no issues with them. Really enjoyed refuge la balm and les mottets (tmb western side). The maps on komoot were also nice, except for the last day going up to Maison vieille (I recommend that the bookatrekking team has a look at this as several people got lost on this day). Otherwise it worked well enough, and it was nice that you could download the maps for offline use. I truly enjoyed my trip, and booking through a company means that you will see the same people in all refuges along the way, share a room or be seated together for dinner, this was definitely a highlight of the trip for me! 😁

Traveling with boys and friends, Bookatrekking makes planning easier and off-loads responsibility, while resting assured it will all work out just fine. The laking star corresponds to the last day trek (followed given Komoot way) which was below par.

Beautiful scenery and helpful staff at Bookatrekking - I was not able to secure refugio reservations until I turned to Bookatrekking. I would classify they family friendly hike as a little more difficult than advertised but in some cases that was because there was still snow on the ground. Overall - I do not know many 8 year olds that would do well on that hike

We arrived at Heimat which was the most wonderful hotel with an owner that has everything in place, great place! The next day our hike started with some lovely weather so time for the short pants an T-shirt 😃 actually all days where like this, and on top of that the mountains where covered with snow to give that extra little touch to the trekking. All the huts were wonderfully well established and although sleeping there is not the most comfortable thing the experience in all of them was good with good food. The last day we went down early due to to dangerous route but we enjoyed a well deserved extra rest day at Heimat 🙏🏼

My friends and I had an AMAZING experience hiking the Alta via 2 trail in the Dolomites. Everything was so well organized for us ahead of time and we were given a very detailed hiking guide. I also had the opportunity to book a video call with a representative from bookatrekking before we left for our trip and they answered any last minute questions I had. The person I spoke with was very kind and welcoming and offered great advice. I would highly recommend bookatrekking to anyone who wants to have an adventurous pre-organized “worry-free” holiday!

Overall we were very pleased with the arrangements. All reservations and meal services worked as planned. In a few instances we found the Komoot map to have minor errors which were easy to avoid as we also used IGN 1:25 000 maps and Strava to track our route. The short written descriptions of the route were probably cut-and-paste from some other itinerary as they were occasionally inconsistent. Somewhat confusing was also the description of the end of the tour, which stopped high above Chamonix. But overall, our experience was very positive. Even the 76-year old father (Eero) walked the entire circle!

Easy way to organize a hike.

Saw gorgeous views, made great friends and tried my best.

Very clear reservations, very responsive to requests to make changes before the trip started (preferred to have some private rooms, added on an additional day). The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that even though we had a WhatsApp number to call and text if there were problems, questions about changes in the route were not answered immediately. Things like weather are unpredictable, which is understandable, but there were routes which were impassable, and no one could answer our questions about alternate routes.

The hike was amazing! It was great to have Bookatrekking make all the reservations for our family of 3. Bookatrekking was attentive to our requests and emails. The Komoot guide was not accurate on our last trek to Croda de Lago, it was guiding us to another hut. The hikes were more challenging than expected and I found the app not very intuitive. We ended up using a map we bought due to landslides and sketchy trails that required us to hike on all fours. It would have been helpful to have the trail numbers on the navigation map.

Overall excellent experience , they helped to book otherwise very hard to book mountain hut, itinerary well planned. Bookatrekking was easy to contact, reply promptly. The one star missing is because of the fact that there is better mountain huts along the way, but I can understand bookatrekking probably don’t always book the best hut to control the cost. For example Bertone could be changed to Bonatti for a much better experience. I would also switch Elisabetta to Combal because of overcrowdness and bed bugs. We saw a few bed bugs. Be aware there are bed bugs in some of the huts. Another thing to point out is that the komoot app,the GPS bookatrekking gives are not specifically for your intinerary, it is communal, you have to adjust it to your specific start and end point, we didn’t know about it on our first day, resulting walking some extra kilometer after a long day hike. All in all, would I use bookatrekking again? Yes. Would I do TMB hut to hut had I known? I’d hesitate. I would probably choose to camp and use baggage transfer service.

Amazing road for Dolomiti. Friendly people and gastronomy. I'll repeat in some other Alta vía.

Using the help of Bookatrekking is very convenient, it took only a few days from booking a trek to already receiving all confirmations and the hiking guide. All my additional questions were answered quickly. The huts were nice and everything went smoothly. One suggestion for future is to add more information about the daily routes, including alternatives or even just a warning. For example, on our 10 day TMB, end of stage 4, there was a part that was very difficult and even dangerous, which came as a bad surprise for us.

It was quite easy to book with bookatrekking! We had a group of 8 originally but only 7 was able to make it, but booking accommodated for us. Only feedback is that the response is a bit slow, weather in Dolomites is very hard to predict and this year in June the forcellas were too snowy to pass, so we had many detours.

Mallorca is one of the most beautiful locations in Europe for a hiking tour. Especially at this time of the year. The weather is marvellous. Some places look like natural Japanese garden combined with beautiful olive palm trees gardens and citrus gardens.

We were able to get reservations through Bookatrekking for the GR221 which we tried and failed to get on our own. There wasn't much in the way of instructions as to how to get to lodging. It would have been helpful to know that some of the lodging was a mile hike outside of town. The service was fine for us because we have knowledge of trail navigation and GPS, but for beginners there isn't much guidance.

Palaronda trek was amazing!! We were able to contact book a trekking in the lead up which was great. I felt like the guide we were given could have given more information about the route itself but the packing guide was great. On reflection the price we paid was higher than others we met on the trail- next time id just book directly through the Palaronda trek website

The views were incredible! I selected the short Alta Via 2 with hotel before and after and the entire experience was fantastic. The hotel was great they offered a gym a pool, sauna and free breakfast. The trek was equally great with the huts providing breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend bookatrekking.

We loved our TMB hike. The arrangements Bookatrekking made for our hotel in Chamonix and our refuge accommodation and meals along the way were all perfect. Our trek was worry-free and we were just able to completely enjoy the experience.We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip with Bookatrekking!

Carros de Foc is a gorgeous area to hike through with mountains, forests and many mountain lakes. The weather can be quite variable as also the huts vary in size and quality. We experienced sun, rain, and freezing snow and winds. The segment between Vintosa and Estay Llong comprises a long stretch of boulder hopping which is not recommended in wet and icy conditions. fortunately it is easy to walk out and catch taxi/public bus to get around to another hut from various huts. Take the contact details from tourist office and take enough cash to pay for hut and taxi/bus is case. The hike time given by tourist office and some apps differ by hours. So watch out slow walkers.

All our accommodations were as scheduled, each hotel and refugi were expecting us. We had originally booked for 3 travelers, however one cancelled, losing their deposit as expected. I don’t think the backcountry huts ever got the word as they were expecting 3 people. All the huts were fully booked, so perhaps someone didn’t get a bed that could have. The hiking distance each day was well thought out and the Kamoot app worked excellently with the offline maps we were provided. Since the huts were so full, I believe I would have booked private rooms initially. The scenery was spectacular, hiking challenging but not impossible. I would definitely recommend bookatrekking and the AV2

My trip went flawlessly. The days were planned to my liking and I had no issues at the accommodations getting checked in. All huts were properly reserved, the rest day was in the perfect spot, and everything went as smoothly as one can hope when planning a trip 6-8 months out. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bookatrekking again. Only had 1 issues and it was immediately remedied via WhatsApp without second thought. The value was worth it on my end for having to do little to no planning other than preparing the body and mind.

The Alta Via del Granito is a beautiful trek. Bookatrekking was very helpful in booking the rifugios and answering questions. However, I do not think their description of the difficulty level was accurate. I would rate this as a difficult or very difficult hike, not moderate. The Komoot maps were also unhelpful as the marked trails with different letters/numbers than were on the actual signs. We got lost a few times.It took much longer than predicted, even for younger more experienced groups. We are 62, and this was really tough plus I broke my ankle halfway through and still had to descend. We could have enjoyed it but it was quite challenging.

It was an epic trip, one I'd always wanted to do. Bookatrekking made it so much easier by making reservations at rifugios and being available to help with logistics of getting to start points. Bookatrekking lowered the stress of a logistics-heavy trip. It was like outsourcing all the organizational work. Thanks!

It was an incredible experience. Highly recommend the TMB to anyone that has a sense of adventure. Definitely a bucket list hike. Bookatrekking was a very good company that we would definitely recommend. We came to them on short notice because we tried to book huts on our own but it was late in the season. They successfully scheduled us on a 10 day hike with nice hotel accommodations both before and after. And got all our arrangements with our huts during hike. Only recommendation would be if you are planning this trip start early to get your best accommodations. Bookatrekking was very reasonable and maintained good communication. Would definitely use them again.

One of the most beautiful hikes

The printed material outlining the daily hikes was helpful. The Auberges and Refugio’s were delightful and the Komoot downloaded maps were good. If you don’t know how to do the TMB, bookatrekking.com is an inexpensive and great way to help.

The TMB was overall a great trail to hike. I liked that there was an option to only do a portion of the TMB. The refuges where we stayed were great. Bookatrekking's hiking guide was helpful and the komoot app. The distances provided in the hike was not accurate and was under estimated by at least about 2 km. The 2nd and 3rd days were very far for a days hike with lots of elevation. 23km and 25 km respectively according to my garmin. On day 4 there are two routes to hike. The main route and another route that goes over a col. Other hikers took the route over the col and had to hike through snow and it was late in summer. A warning of possible snow would've help them

Bookatrekking did a great job putting together a short section of the Alta Via 1 for us. They communicated with the Rifugios and managed to get us a private room for one night when we had been unable on our own. As for the Alta Via 1 itself, it was occasionally challenging and always gorgeous

Our trek was fantastic and memorable. We did have a few issues with hut owners. There seem to be a lack of communication between bookatreking and some huts. Our party had a cancellation and there seemed to be a problem of notification between myself, hut managers, and bookatreking. It was sorted out but Hut managers were not happy with us. We do thank bookatreking for booking our huts. They made it easy for a large party. Cheers

I was honestly hesitant booking through Bookatrekking - they have pretty good prices in comparison to other companies. So I expected some difficulties in quality. But they were amazing from the very first day - easy to get a hold of, ready to answer all questions, in touch while on trek. We had no difficulties during the whole time we were doing Alta Via. The receptionists in the rifugios know the company and find your booking right away. Bookatrekking saved me so much time and stress 😬 Definitely recommend, definitely booking other trips with them in the future.

We were kept well informed in the lead up for our trip Alta Via 1 , any questions I asked were quickly replied . The use of the Komoot app was a godsend . The checking in at the rifugios was smooth . Would happily recommend and use Bookatrekking again .

The route was fantastic, sometimes smooth, and sometimes heavy. The huts were booked like we requested, and they were all fantastic.

We had a great 10 days hiking the TdMB. The accommodations were generally well spaced out and comfortable. Because we were 4, we often got family rooms in the dorms, so had a bit more privacy which was welcome. It is possible to book all of the accommodations without bookatrekking, but it would have been very time consuming and left us with some uncertainty about distances between huts, etc. Having Bookatrekking take on these bookings made the trip much easier to organize!

The service itself is nice, especially for those who do not want to manage any bookings. Though you need to keep in mind that sometimes there are cases when you cannot reach the booked refuge (because of horrible weather, etc.) and for that you will not get refunded. So, for those who like freedom of decision, would be better to book everything by themselves although it might get tricky when booking late.

Beautiful hikes, 3-day Alta Via del Granito was a great trek that was just the right amount of days and metres for us. Routes are easy to follow with plenty of signs, mountain cabins were decent (don’t expect luxury). Much ascending and descending (not much flat parts) so it’s challenging enough. Info provided upfront was sufficient and Bookatrekking provided additional info regarding weather conditions proactively, so overall we’re very satisfied. Be sure to take the “extended” route between Malga Sorgazza and Cima d’Asta.

Our experience of Bookatrekking was great! It was nice to hand off the stress of booking 6 contiguous huts for our 7 day Alta Via 2 trek. They were very responsive to all our emails and the information they sent us about the trek was very handy.

Amazing views, and great places to sleep! A bit trickier than expected at certain points but super enjoyable! Maybe the packing list could have been a bit more complete and the communication with the company a bit more fluid, but all in all, an amazing experience that I'll repeat for sure!

The scenery is amazing and the huts are in very picturesque situations. The walking is challenging with some quite scary situations and quite a bit of up and down.

We were very happy with the organizing of the huts- everything was clear, and every time we got to the hut the check in was smooth. Bookatrekking were very helpful in organising our hike for us and telling us which walks to do. They were able to book us private bunk rooms for our group of 5 which was amazing too. The gite we stayed at on the first night was definitely a highlight, especially after the first day which was a lot longer then expected! - get the cable car from les Houches if you plan on doing the high route on day 1!! The Croix du bonhomme refuge was a bit of a let down- we don’t have high expectations of a mountain hut in the middle of nowhere- but there wer flies absolutely everywhere- landing on the tables indoors and also two of us had flies cooked into our food 😅, not to mention the drop toilets not being very well maintained. Luckily this hut had amazing views and Ibex nearby which made up for it.

Everything was organised very well, starting from prep info ending on all useful suggestions in regards to accomodation/ daily trails and emergency numbers. Communication was great and we felt supported through trip. For sure we will book another adventure with Bookatrekking as you made possible what we were not able to organize on our own.

After booking with bookatrekking, their staff went above and beyond to make our experience amazing and easy. Every single place they booked for us paned out and even though the quality varied, none were awful and all had rooms ready and food on the table for us. The only thing stopping me in giving them 5 stars is the fact that they recommended Komoot as a tracking app and some of the tracks were not great.

The tour was great, but things some things could have been better: - warning about heavy traffic in Italy in mid-August - time estimates for each day in the tour - misleading information on the availability of insurance from Komoot - lack of good vegetarian alternatives in the huts

We went to the Stubai High Trail in Austria. I thought Bookatreeking were very good. Pre-trip communication was good, the hut vouchers were wating for us at the tourist office and, although we didn't really need a map as the weather was so clear - the Komoot app worked well. Cost was very reasonable. Would use again.

First time using Bookatrekking and for the most part it worked out very well. I would rate the experience as a whole 9/10 due to a mishap on the first day where the provided PDF guide from Bookatrekking wasn’t specific enough about the refuge we were staying at. It made us end up an hour and a half away from our stay, resulting in us having to book - and pay - at a nearby campsite instead. Since it was late in the evening there was no option to walk back to the planned refuge (as we had alrdy missed out on the otherwise provided dinner!). But what started with a mishap ended with another perfect 9 days of hiking with perfect weather.

This trip was absolutely incredible! We love the Refugios that we’re chosen for us and would. Or have changed anything about the trip if we had booked it ourselves! The trail is challenging and beautiful and we loved every section. Definitely do this trip!

The service was very smooth, always available and friendly. The set up is professional and the adjustments are quick when needed. Some points for improvement: the guide we received did not quite match the actual sections of the hike we were doing: The guide was a standard one to sections between huts we didn't stay at. It would have been better to have the guide more accurately adjusted to the actual sections (huts) we stayed at. Secondly, we were told we must bring liners to the huts but that wasn't necessary in any of the huts. Other than these small points it was all good.

The alta via 1 is an incredible adventure that is accessible to novice hikers. It was my first ever such trek and will definitely not be last. All the huts were booked with no problem. Thanks so much bookatrekking!

Bookatrekking was incredibly helpful me created a great self-guided itinerary for the TMB. All the resources were super useful and we had an amazing time. The refuges they booked were all of a high standard and we ate like kings and queens!

A very well planned Tour du Mont Blanc trip booked and scheduled by Bookatrekking. Routes were mapped out clearly on the recommended Komoot App which was easy to use and follow. Communication with Bookatrekking was always excellent and highly professional. Any deviations to the route that we made due to weather, we were always able to let them know and they would update the huts en route. Highly recommend Bookatrekking.

This is a challenging but exciting and rewarding hike with more natural beauty than anyone can handle. Sunrise on Rifugio Lagazuoi was a particular highlight! Guidance from bookatrekking was concise and helpful, and emails during the countdown to my holidays particularly welcome and useful. No hitches whatsoever with the booking; the "bookend" hotels before and after were very comfy.

This was one of my favourite experiences to date! Having the ability to have everything pre planned, booked and routed aloud it to be a stress free experience. Everything went smoothing and the company was able to answer all my questions very quickly! The pre set hiking trail links to Koomot was a life saver. I cant wait to book another hike through bookatrekking. I did the 10 day TMB hike and it was absolutely magnificent I'm new to hiking and definitely jumped into the deep end with this one but it was such a rewarding challenge! I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
